Horrible Harry in Room 2B

October16

My husband and son are both at work and my daughter is not home right now so what am I doing? Playing catch up! Last week we read a book called Horrible Harry in Room 2B. It’s a series of books and Harry is a boy in grade 2 who’s just a little bit on […]

New Song

October9

I taught the kids a new action song yesterday, one of my favourites! It’s a great brain break and they love how ridiculous we all look by the end. They might be able to entertain you with it this weekend! Wouldn’t it be fun if they had the whole family doing it!

Boomerang Lunches

October8

A note went home with the oldest child in each family today to let you know that we are implementing Boomerang Lunches as a school wide initiative. Please read the note, we will begin this immediately. Thank you. Our craft this week was a bust as we only collected 8 soup cans. Thanks to those […]

Family Tree

October6

Next week, we’re going to build our family trees. Could you please provide your child with your names (maiden names as well), grandparents names and great grandparents. Where each person is from would be an added bonus so we can do a bit of mapping work as well. If you have small thumbnail pictures you […]

Spirit Day

October2

On Tuesday, the school is having a Spirit Day to support our Blue Jays. Students are asked to wear their Blue Jay wear or blue and white. We ask each student to bring in an item for the food bank as a donation for our Blue Jay Spirit Day! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sky Bowling!

October2

What? Yep, taught the kids a game today called Sky Bowling. 2 teams, 6 hoops on each side with a bowling pin inside (plastic of course). The object is to knock down the opposing teams bowling pins with nerf type balls. The balls have to be thrown in the air, they can’t be rolled. Fun, […]

Collecting Empty Soup Cans

October2

We need empty soup cans or similar size for a craft we’re doing next week. As well, if you have small twigs around that the kids could bring in, that would be appreciated as well. Thanks so much!

Pond Walk – had to redo the pics, too small!

October1

We had a fun walk around the pond today! There were so many interesting things to find, not all relating to trees but that’s okay! I wasn’t able to capture everyone as we were spread out but got some good shots.
