Welcome to my class blog. My name is Mrs. Lang and this is a peek inside my grade 2 classroom. I come from St. Paul’s School in Alliston, Ontario, Canada.

I have been teaching since 1992. The last 13 years have been in grade 2. I pride myself on changing things up, staying current and trying new things to keep fresh. I strive to make learning active and meaningful. I’m not a fan of photocopying pages and pages of seat work, but rather look for creative ways for my students to demonstrate their learning.

I was honoured in 2012 to receive the Ontario Elementary Teacher of the Year Award. With it came some money so I invested that in iPads for my classroom. Slowly but surely, I’ve been incorporating them into various parts of the day and am now thrilled to be able to set up this blog and have the children creating the content.
